As a somatic psychotherapist, I recognize that we experience the world through our senses and bodies. Our nervous systems are shaped by these bodily experiences, and because mind and body are inextricably linked, each person is a unified "mindbody." It's the whole mindbody that interacts with and responds to the environment, using the body as a tool for communication and exploration. We learn and grow through our relationships with others—people, animals, and the world around us.

Trauma's Impact and the Journey to Healing

Trauma is an injury to the nervous system, often invisible yet as impactful as a physical injury like a broken back or severed nerve. Recovering from trauma isn't about erasing the experience or "getting over it," but rather integrating the reality of survival into one's life without letting it define every moment. The goal is to shift from a constant state of trauma to a place of self-compassion, resilience, and ultimately finding fulfillment and satisfaction in life again.

Because humans are inherently social beings, trauma often arises from interactions—with people, animals, or even the environment. Therefore, healing and integration also occur within the context of relationships. I strive to provide a safe and supportive space for individuals to process and integrate their traumatic experiences.
